02Public Appearances

Speaking &
Public Appearances

From interviews to conference stages.

Public appearances have taken different forms throughout my work. Sometimes I am there to present an idea; at other times, to take part in a conversation or lead the event itself.

01 EXPERIENCE

Public experience

I have participated in interviews, hosted a conference, organised a webinar, joined industry panel discussions and appeared as a speaker at several professional events.

These are distinct forms of public communication. A prepared presentation, an interview, a panel discussion and hosting an event each involve a different way of engaging with the people in the room.

02 DELIVERY

Voice & delivery

My experience with the microphone goes back much further. Earlier in my career, I worked as a master of ceremonies, developing the foundations of a professionally trained voice.

Diction, articulation, tone, rhythm and pace are elements of delivery I control deliberately. It is a skill I continue to bring to interviews, discussions and public appearances today.

03PODCASTS & CONVERSATIONS

Podcasts &
Conversations

Some of the most interesting conversations begin with a different point of view.

I enjoy meeting people, exchanging observations and discovering how differently we can interpret the same reality.

I don't need the person across the microphone to agree with me. Quite the opposite. A different perspective can reveal something I haven't considered, challenge an assumption or simply lead to a conversation neither of us expected to have.

I also welcome invitations to other podcasts, interviews and conversations, including those outside my usual professional fields.

For me, a good conversation isn't an opportunity to deliver a prepared set of answers. It's an opportunity to discover something.

Editorials &
Commentary

The headline is where I begin. Not where I stop.

I welcome commissions from journalists and editors for original articles, in-depth analysis and editorial perspectives on current events. An assignment can begin with a question, a new development, a company announcement or a decision whose consequences deserve closer examination. What interests me is not only what happened, but why the system produced that result: the dependencies, constraints and decisions behind the visible story.

A short comment can sometimes be enough. But a subject that appears to require a few sentences often becomes a full article once its underlying mechanisms and consequences are examined. I do not choose the conclusion in advance, and I do not force an argument into a predetermined length. If the answer needs ten pages, it needs ten pages.

And yes, editors are more than welcome to edit and shorten my texts, as long as the argument remains intact. I do understand that publications have word limits.

My train of thought occasionally doesn't get the memo.

The Layer Above — original book cover by Mateusz Chrzanowski

PUBLISHED FIRST EDITION 2026

The Layer Above

What is System of Systems Architecture — and what becomes visible from the layer above?

Science, engineering, economics, design, organisations and society may appear to be separate domains. The book looks at the architecture connecting them, and at what changes when we stop treating individual systems as isolated worlds.

I welcome interviews, author conversations and invitations to lead or moderate panels exploring the questions raised in the book.

It Depends

Perhaps the most important sentence in the life of a System of Systems Architect is also the one people least want to hear.

It depends.

Not because the answer is unknown. Not because a decision cannot be made. But because the correct answer depends on understanding the question, the context and the system.

And sometimes two words require an entire book to explain.

Press Contact

The most valuable conversations begin with questions worth examining.

I welcome direct enquiries from journalists, editors, producers, podcast hosts and event organisers seeking interviews, original commentary, in-depth analysis or contributions to conferences and public discussions.

My interests are not confined to a particular industry or discipline. I am especially interested in subjects where the visible story is only part of a larger picture — where decisions, dependencies, structural relationships and their consequences deserve closer examination.

I value intellectual exchange, independent thinking and genuinely different perspectives. Agreement is neither expected nor required. A well-reasoned disagreement can be considerably more valuable than a conversation in which everyone reaches the same conclusion.

Whether you are investigating a complex subject, developing an editorial piece, preparing a podcast or organising a discussion, I welcome the opportunity to contribute, examine assumptions and explore perspectives that might otherwise remain overlooked.

There is no need for an elaborate introduction. A brief outline of your subject, the proposed format and your timeframe is sufficient to begin.

If you have something worth exploring, I want to hear from you.
